Agudath Israel of Maryland Statement on Governor Hogan’s Cancer Diagnosis

As Marylanders absorb the unfortunate announcement delivered Monday by Governor Larry Hogan, Agudath Israel of Maryland and the Orthodox Jewish communities across the state join in the prayer and well-wishing for the Governor’s speedy recovery and return to full-strength. While the challenges posed by his illness are daunting, we are heartened by the Governor’s positive and optimistic attitude and his commitment to remain on the job during the course of his treatment.

Additionally, we share in extending our thoughts and prayers to Maryland’s First Lady, Mrs. Yumi Hogan, and family, whose strength will be essential to Governor Hogan’s recovery; and to Lt. Governor Boyd Rutherford, whose increased role will be beneficial to achieving the many goals set forth by the Hogan Administration.
