Despite the snow cancelling some aspects of the event, Ohio’s celebration of National School Choice Week continued. Supporters gathered in the Capitol Theatre on Monday to hear from a varied group of speakers including: David Hansen, executive director of Quality School Choice (Ohio Department of Education); Nicole Graves, The Ohio Alliance for Public Charter Schools’ Teacher of the Year; EdChoice scholarship recipient Walter Woodard; and Representative Andrew Brenner (R-Powell) who read Governor John Kasich’s resolution declaring January 25-31 School Choice Week in Ohio.

Agudath Israel co-sponsored the event together with the American Federation for Children, School Choice Ohio, Northwest Ohio Scholarship Fund, the Ohio Council of Community Schools, the Ohio Alliance for Public Charter Schools, Thomas B. Fordham Institute, Students First, and National School Choice Week.
