Agudath Israel meeting with Ambassador Dayan

Last week a delegation of Agudath Israel leaders led by executive vice president Rabbi Chaim Dovid Zwiebel met with the Israeli Consul General in New York, Dani Dayan and his deputy Amir Sagie.

Among the topics discussed were the incredible growth of the Orthodox Jewish community and the

rising costs associated with private school education. They also discussed the significant investments (both financial and human) of American Chareidim in Israel as well as the ongoing

political work of Agudath Israel activists on behalf of Israel. Additionally they spoke at length about religious freedoms and the role Agudath Israel plays in Jewish communities throughout the country.

Joining Rabbi Zwiebel at the meeting were Rabbi Avi Shafran, Director of Public Affairs, Rabbi Yeruchim Silber, Director of New York Government Relations as well as Board of Trustees members Chaskel B ennett, Leon Goldenberg, and Avi Schron.
